We want to give you some information about the companies and entities that help us keep CifiMad running. It wouldn’t be possible without them!

Hotel Las Provincias

 The hotel Las Provincias *** in Fuenlabrada has 99 rooms, 94 double rooms and 5 junior suite. All of them are equipped with TV, air aconditioning, phone, minibar, ambient music, safe box and bathroom with hairdryer and phone. This hotel has been our venue in almost all editions of CifiMad; the excellent conditions they give us, and above all the care and kindness that their management and all the staff show us, make us consider it our home. We cannot imagine CifiMad without them!

ACAT

ACAT (Association for Collectors and Fans of Transformable Toys) is, as the name implies, a fan club for the Transformers saga, in its toy form as well as the comics and animated series (technically also the movies, although most members are, ahem, somewhat critical of them). They held at one of our editions of CifiMad their Jornadas TransFans event; at some point they have contributed with activities; and every year they lend to us their showcases, without which our expo would be much more difficult to happen.

Nereid Shop

Nereid is the clothing brand of a young company specialized in printing and customization of clothes, accessories and gifts, with the best quality of fabrics and the latest system for full color, high definition printing. Thanks to their collaboration we have got, at unbeatable prices, a series of customized memorabilia items to sell as mementos of the event or give to our volunteers as gifts.

Sirénida

Sirénida is formed by a group of professional Merpeople, specialized in performance shows in and out of the water. Among our activities we also teach children and adults the art of tailed swimming and apnea. We offer performance shows for private events, hotels, theme parks, zoos and aquariums.

Blastar

Blastar is born inside a family with passion for the Padel sport and industrial fabrication. After more than 30 years developing industrial solutions for top level companies in Spain as well as outside our borders, leaps to Spanish design and fabrication of padel rackets. Thanks to their collaboration we could have a cargo van available to transport Alquimia Estudios audio and video equipment, al the computing equipment needed to process and print at the event itself the photos with the guest actors, and a lot of other material that makes it possible for CifiMad to work.

Dibbuks

The Spanish publisher Dibbuks specializes in comics, graphic novels and illustrated children’s books from Spanish and European authors. They have contributed to several of our events with sets of their titles to give as prizes in our contests.

Metropolis Cómics

Metrópolis is one of the most classic comics and merchandising stores in Madrid. The distinguish themselves for the personalized service, great attention to detail and care in the selection of merchandise for sale. As well as being present in the dealer area of our event, Metrópolis brings a generous contribution to the prizes for our cosplay contest.

Crochegurumis

Crochegurumis, Our friend and collaborator Mari makes beautiful artisan crochet dolls based on movie and cartoon characters. As well as being present in the dealer area of our event, she always brings a generous donation to the prizes for our cosplay contest.

Drakul Editorial

One of our first sponsors in CifiMad history, Drakul Editorial publishes, among other national and international works, the Star Trek comic books. They have been so kind as to give us some copies of their titles as prizes for our contests.

FNAC

FNAC is a very famous department store chain specialized in entertainment: books, music, film and TV, consumer electronics, etc. Every year they give to as a spot in their programming for the Parquesur store so we can do a presentation for CifiMad, and they also donate some stuff (action figures, DVDs, etc.) to give as prizes in our contests.

Fox

21th Century Fox is one of the classic and most important film studios in Hollywood; it has evolved into a whole media empire that includes television channels, production of TV shows, and of course a domestic video division. Among their most popular titles we can find the movies based on the X-Men characters from Marvel. Their collaboration with us consists in movies to give as prizes in our contests. We know for a fact some cosplayers are very happy with their prizes!

Tony J. Puché

Tony J. Puché,

Antonio Puché is the author of Nacido del Fuego, first volume of the saga El Corazón de Ethelorn. Book of fantasy genre in which we follow the adventures of Thanan, a young half-breed bounty hunter whose sister Nayra is kidnapped; he must face the mysterious Marshal in order to get una magical stone and give it to a wizard in exchange for clues about Nayra’s whereabouts. Jorge Laforge

Jorge is a member of Club Star Trek Cochrane de Madrid, which is part of the CifiMad organization; and he is also the author of La Última Frontera (The Final Frontier), book of poems inspired by Star Trek. Jorge has given us a copy of his book as a prize for our contests, and he will be there to sign it for the winner.

Héctor Espadas

Héctor is the winner of the science fiction short story award Homocrisis, from the publisher Lengua de Trapo; and he is the author of La Última Ciudad del Mundo, a post-apocalyptic science fiction novel set in the valley of Guadalquivir in which he tackles themes like the Flat Earth beliefs (!).

Héctor will be at our event presenting his works, and also he has been so kind to give us some copies as prizes for our contests, and he will sign them for the winner.

Who are we?, where do we come from ?, where are we going?.

Science may one day be able to shed light on these issues and reveal the existential anguish that underlies its responses. Meanwhile, the only tool capable of answering such huge questions is imagination. Thanks to the imagination man has written beautiful books, painted exquisite canvases, built majestic palaces and even built wonderful spaceships.
Can any other intelligent being inside and outside the earth create something like this? Could this intrinsic ability to create, only attributed to one God, be transferred to man? ?Is man also a divine being capable of creating?

Recebel, the last woman alive on earth and protagonist of our history, answers all these questions.

Funkotrueque

Funkotrueque is a website devoted to Funko Pop interchange. Its main characteristic is to be the first of its kind to disallow cash in its advertisements and where the only way to aquire a Funko is bartering or interchange – with the intention of thus escaping all speculation generated by the Funko universe. You can also find raffles, discussions, articles…

WAVE BOOKS

Wave Books born in 2017, a traditional and independent publishing house, the wave that has come to fill the bookshelves and electronic bookstores of the most avid readers, lovers of literature that does not have tapujos and that bets on the care and care of the edition . They will be with us with books for sale, and some of their authors to sign copies and chat with them.

Alquimia Estudios

 Alquimia Estudios provides all kinds of audiovisual services for companies and events, in terms of equipment as well as installation and realization. Every year we borrow from them a set of audio and video equipment that would be completely out of our reach if we had to buy or rent it at market price. Every time you see an image or listen to a conference in the main hall, you should thank them.

Ruy Vega – Ediciones Atlantis

Ruy Vega is a Spanish science fiction book writer, who has been so kind as to give us a copy of his latest work La Señal as a prize for one of our contests.

Paula Escalera

Paula is a regular collaborator with our event; she has recently published a book named Quédate Conmigo, and has been so generous as to lend us a copy as a prize for our contests. She introduces it like this: “What is the difference between being loved and being wanted? There is no difference between what we feel and what the other feels. Three girls. Three stories. All so different. All connected.”

Revista Acción

Revista Acción is a monthly magazine specialized in genre movies and TV shows: action (as the name implies), science fiction, fantasy, superheroes… all the stuff we like! As well as articles and interviews about the next new titles or the old and new classics, every issue includes spectacular posters. Acción collaborates with us promoting our event on their website and social media, giving us magazine copies and promotional badges to give away, and at one point they have contributed with activities.
